DANCE AND PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES AT CREATIVE CONSERVATORY

At Creative Conservatory in Walled Lake, MI, we offer a comprehensive range of dance and performing arts classes designed to meet the needs of students from Walled Lake, Commerce Township, Novi, Milford, and West Bloomfield. Our classes are structured to provide a solid foundation in various disciplines while fostering creativity, discipline, and artistic growth.

Our ballet classes are the cornerstone of our training program, emphasizing classical technique, strength, flexibility, and grace. We offer classes for all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced students. Ballet classes include:

  • Pre-Ballet: For young children to develop basic movement skills and a love for dance.

  • Ballet Levels 1-7: Progressive levels for students to build their technique and artistry.

  • Advanced Ballet: For experienced dancers focusing on advanced techniques and performance quality.

Pointe classes are available for students with a solid foundation in ballet who are ready to progress to dancing on pointe. Our experienced instructors ensure that each student is physically prepared for the demands of pointe work, emphasizing proper technique and injury prevention.

Tap dance classes at Creative Conservatory focus on rhythm, coordination, and musicality. Students learn various tap styles, from traditional Broadway tap to contemporary rhythms, enhancing their timing and precision.

Our jazz classes offer an energetic and dynamic approach to dance, incorporating various styles such as classical jazz, commercial jazz, and contemporary jazz. Students develop strength, flexibility, and performance skills through high-energy routines and technical exercises.

Our musical theatre classes provide comprehensive training in dance, acting, and singing. Students learn to perform in a theatrical context, developing skills in stage presence, character development, and vocal performance. These classes are perfect for aspiring performers who want to excel in musical theater productions.

Lyrical dance classes emphasize emotional expression and storytelling through fluid and graceful movements. This style combines elements of ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance, allowing students to connect deeply with the music and their own emotions.

Contemporary dance classes combine elements of ballet, modern, and jazz dance to create expressive and innovative choreography. Students explore movement concepts, improvisation, and storytelling through dance.

Our vocal performance classes help students develop their singing voice through proper technique, breath control, and musical interpretation. Classes include individual and group instruction, covering various genres and styles to enhance vocal versatility.

Acting classes at Creative Conservatory focus on developing the craft of acting through various techniques and exercises. Students work on monologues, scene work, improvisation, and character analysis, building confidence and stage presence.

Throughout the year, we offer specialty workshops and masterclasses led by guest instructors and industry professionals. These workshops provide unique opportunities for students to learn new techniques, styles, and approaches to dance and performing arts.

Our summer intensives are designed for students who want to immerse themselves in focused training during the summer months. These programs include intensive classes in ballet, contemporary, jazz, musical theater, and more, with opportunities for performance and artistic growth.

Our classes for youth include Creative Kids (creative movement) for ages 2-4, Conservatory Kids (introductory tap and ballet) for ages 4-6, and Primary classes (ballet, tap or jazz) for ages 6-8. Boys Class includes Hip-Hop and conditioning for boys ages 4-9. Our classes are developmentally appropriate and structured, and include public speaking, teamwork, and following directions, in addition to rhythm, counting music and vocabulary.
